Question

Transition template for video - not able to use timeline footage

Hi everyone, I've been using Premiere Pro for many years but I'm a simple soul and have only been using the basic editing grading sound capacities and have receently bought some Adobe transitions including the smooth multidirectional transition, which I thought was for video but apparently it won't let me choose from the timeline - it only allows me to replace image (a photo or still) from the finder... which is really frustrating. These are .mgort files. Anyway I  would really appreciate knowing if there is the ability to use this transition with video or not and if not - which directional blur transition template will work with video?

Many thanks in advance. Minah

Post link to those templates. As of  now its just a guessing game.

Usually you dont use footage from the timeline rather from the project panel.

In all honesty, I would not even buy such a template, as you can make a directional blur transition-effect yourself with Premiere native tools and save it as a preset.

Thanks @Ann Bens that's good advice. I did work it out in the end - I had to export a part of the video to add to the template from the finder... a bit clumsy but did the trick!

@minahminahmoo

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Premiere Pro forum for you.
