Question

Trim previous edit to playhead

I hope someone can help me, because I'm lost and this has already taken up waaaaay to much time:

My "Trim previous edit to playhead" (ctrl+alt+q)  is not working.
ctrl+alt+w (trim next edit to playhead) is working.

"Ripple trim previous/next edit to playhead (q and w)" is not working at all.
If I have a gap at my playhead, it will remove the gap, but that's all.

I have my track targeted but nothings happening.

I'm on PPro 23.4.0 Build56

Try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply.
I've reset the preferences and tested it with a newly created project: didn't work.
Then reset the workspace and tried again: no effect.

Creating a new project and importing the old one will not help/work since it's already not working in a new project.
