When i try to trim clips it will only allow me to trim back or drag out in 1 second incremeents. But im trying pair clips with audio and im looking to line parts up perfectly, so i would nee to trim or drag for either less than 1 second or between 1-2 seconds to allow clip changes for certain beat drops ect.

How & where do I adjust the preferences to I have freedom to do this. I hope this made sense lol

thank you!

@KeeleyMazurek can you confirm one of these solutions helped you?

Sounds like you want to enable Snapping in the Timeline.  This causes the edges of your video and audio clip boundaries to snap to other clip boundaries, markers, edit points, and the Playhead Position in the Timeline.  With this enabled (blue), your audio will line up perfectly with your video.

Video frames can only be trimmed at frame level but audio files can be trimmed very precise.

To trim audio precise, set the Timeline to Show Audio Time Units. Now you can trim and/or move audio very precise, but only if the audio is not linked to video. (It is possible to unlink video from audio if necessary.)
