Trimming question Avid vs. Premiere Pro

I'm learning Premiere.  In Avid, when you get into trim mode, you can trim on the fly while playing the sequence down.  Does Premiere have that same feature or is it all just stop, click, drag, preview, refine?  In addition, the Avid is able to simultaneously trim multiple tracks on the fly by placing trim rollers on various clips between various tracks.  The Avid architecture for trimming is STELLAR and I can only hope this program has that feature.  Any answers would be very helpful.  Thank you.
