trouble exporting - not exporting full video

so I shot all of my footage on iPhone 13 and the first time I tried exporting my finished video it came out super glitchy and pixelated. I tried the vbr pass 1 and the CBR options and it still came out pixelated when there was motion. Then, I tried the vbr pass 2 option and it fixed the pixelated problem but NOW it does not export the full video. Each time I have tried to export it through cbr it always stops at a different point in the video. I tried the "entire sequence" option but it still does the same thing. Help pleaseee!

Phone video is some of the most problematic media you can work with, and media makes a huge difference when it comes to all aspects of video editing including playback performance, stability, errors, etc.  

 

Many times the solve for working with problematic media comes down to dealing with it at the source, meaning transcoding it with transcoding software to get it into a better format to work with (correcting VFR issues, using an edit-optimized video codec, etc.)  Peru has already provided some good links for ways to deal with the VFR.

 

Some things to try before transcoding the source include:  

Clear the media cache

Using Software Encoding on Export

Export to an easier to process video codec, like Quicktime ProRes 422, and then create your H264 from that.

If that's not it, try turning off Hardware encoding in the Video tab of the export settings.

    Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

    Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:
