Trouble importing Red Dragon Footage into Premier Pro CS6

When trying to import Red Dragon footage (R3D) into Premier Pro CS6 (6.0.5) I am getting a screen which says Unsupported format or damaged file.  The file is good because I can import using RedCine X.   My operating system is OS 10.7.5 Lion.

Hi DonB,

RED Dragon is not supported with Premiere Pro CS6. https://support.red.com/hc/en-us/articles/217961478-RED-3rd-Party-Workflow-FAQs-Premiere-Pro 

You need to upgrade to Premiere Pro CC.

You need to upgrade to Premiere Pro CC.
