Question

Trouble shooting adobe premiere

In Adobe premiere, I accidently clicked on the green pencil on the bottom left hand side of the editing screen. A box popped up, I missread it. It asked me if I wanted to save before converting my video (which only comprised of voice audio, sound audio and one pic thus far) into read-only mode. I clicked no, not wanting to save it. Not having read it properly. Now it can't find my audio file. Only the second line audio (music) works. The voice audio and one pic are gone. It can't find the audio in any of the previous automatic saves. It gives me a strange looking box where my voice audio and video should be, and this box plays no sound.

Where did it all go? My HOURS of work. How do I fix this?

That doesn't sound like Premiere Pro.

What program are you using?

I got my work back somehow, spent hours piecing together sound, video and effects. Saved it to two different files, one in adobe and one out. Now when I open either file save, I have my sound but lost all my images, speech and effects. They exist in the project panel, but are no longer in my sequence ( timeline ) where I set them up in the order I wanted????????? I thought this was a high end editing software. What is going on ? My time is valuable.
