I'm new to PP, but I at least know what I should be able to do @ this point,  I have a few issues that I have googled all over the place for help,  but I should have just came here first 🙂    I can load my videos into Import section & double click one @ time for the Source section ,  as soon as I click the play button you can hear the audio jumping around, I can hear my voice but not really understand what I'm saying & the video seems to be doing what the audio is doing,  I can play the video in my computer and it's perfect.  So that is 1st, then I noticed that I could not drag & drop the audio/ video at the same time into the timeline , I had to add them seperately,  but the next one I tried to add, only let me drag the audio. no video.  my computer is less than a year old my video card has been updated.  I'm clueless, because I'm clueless about PP.....   I could cry !!

Problem could only be resolved by Adobe technician going into my computer & worked on it, took him about an hour to fix,  but he finally was able to get it.  So far so good with it working correctly.  I love shooting videos & cannot wait to learn more about this amazing & fun adventure.

Two things to try:

  1. Open “Preferences>Audio Hardware>Default Input…” and set the dropdown to “No Input” and see if that helps with the playback jumpiness.

 2.  I could not drag & drop the audio/ video at the same time into the timeline.  You have Track Targeting turned off for Track V1.  In your screen shot:  In the timeline panel, in the track headers, you see two instances of the text “V1”.  Click on the left hand “V1” so it turns blue, and then try dragging clips in again.

It took the Adobe tech about an hour to fix this,  it seems like he tried 'everything'  I was watching him,  because he dialed into my computer to work on it,  but I honestly could not tell you what he did to fix it.  I just know i'm GLAD  he did.   Thank you for your tips to help me.
