Trouble with Premiere Pro Playback

My laptop recently updated to WIndows 10 Creator and since then I haven't been able to use the playback function of Premiere... which is essential for editing! I can scrub the timeline, but as soon as I hit the playback button (or space bar) nothing happens and I loose my ability to even scrub the timeline. This happens both in the source tab and program tab.

I am running the most recent update of Premiere Pro. My laptop specs are as follows:

Dell - Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.60GHz

64-bit OS, x64 based processor; OS Build 15063.540

8GB Ram

We use .MXF files at 1280x720 resolution. Never had issues before.

Any solutions for fixing this problem?

Correct answer Peru Bob

Try updating or rolling back your video driver directly from the video card manufacturer's site.

Also, delete the Media Cache and Media Cache Files.

I that doesn't work, reset the preferences:

It was the resetting of the preferences that did the trick! Thank you!
