Trying to keyframe a mask but not working?

Question

I am attempting to make a mask and keyframe the movement to create a swiping transition. However, I believe my keyframes are behaving really weirdly - two keyframes get created (one where I want, and one later on the timeline) when I first make the mask... and also on the third frame it completely just bugs out... not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is likely happening because you've got your clip sped up. You probably want to put the sped up clip in a nest and then apply your keyframes to the nest (or vice versa).
