I want to make an effect like this and am stuck. Any suggestions on what steps in Premiere I could follow? Hoping there is a graphic for this.

    That just looks like color mattes with keyframing on the Motion property or the crop effect.

    I'm trying to use keyframes and struggling.  It's not a linear animation. Is there a way with key frames to make it a curve? that is, it starts out slow, speeds up, then slows down again. I suppose I could do it frame by frame with keyframes, but that would be miserable.

    Nest the keyframed color mattes to a new sequence. Place the nest in the main sequence and apply time remapping:
