Question

Tweaking video image/audio for Youtube ..?

I've noticed my Youtube uploads are noticeably darker than they look in Premiere, and that the Youtube audio seems to be delayed by a few frames..  Is this normal, and if so, do people compensate (in Premiere, before export) simply by (over) brightening and scooting the audio a few frames sooner?  thanks

YouTube ... what a freaking joy to work with.

Many have issues that the particular YouTube uploading facility their media goes into YouTube "through" uses a setting that is apparently 16-235 or 16-255 and with a slightly lower gamma ... their "perfect" outputs from PrPro have lifted (muddy) shadows, lowered muddy highlights, and too-bright & desaturated (in appearance) mids.

Some have no issues at all with the YouTube facilities or cable/internet services they go through.

And you've got a fascinatingly different problem, darker with audio delay. Oh what a joy.

Perhaps if you could post a screen-grab of the image in PrPro, and a link to a YouTube demonstrating the total effect, it might be helpful. Also, your export settings from PrPro in a screen-grab, and info on your YouTube uploading process.
