Question

Ultra key masking option gone?

Why the hell did you remove the masking option in the new Premiere Pro when using the Ultra key effect?? It was super useful and now I have to think of a workaround, causing a delay in my projects.

Why do you remove things that work perfectly???

Thank you

Yeah, me too! This is so counterintuitive, and leaves me to continue using version 25 rather than 26. How do I apply the masking to an effect?
The question stands: Why do you remove things that work perfectly???

Might want to read the link I posted on how to use the new feature.

The new masking process is different, yes. It is also vastly more capable and powerful. Many things that required going to AfterEffects to rotoscope now are quickly and easily done in Premiere. So it’s worth a couple minutes of your time to learn it.

The masking tool is now in the Tool panel .. or keyboard shortcut of course. You click something to select an object, and the set the Clip/Frame toggle in the Program monitor ... Clip is automated, Frame is manual tracking and mask point setting.

The resulting mask can than be assigned to one or more effects.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...
