Unable to play clips in timeline

Evening all,

I have been having an issue for some time now where after a while i am unable to play my clips in the timeline with a sequence. For example, I may minimize premiere pro to read emails or use safari but then when i return to Prem Pro i am unable to press play.  I then have to shut down the software and then re-open it and it works for a short period then returns to not playing.

I have spoken with an adobe agent twice at length and they have performed a full removal of all adobe products and re uploaded them. Also cleared cache etc and other things but it is still doing the same thing.

This is becoming encreasingly frustrating as I am unable to work properly.

Has anyone else had this issue at all? Any advice would be greatly appreaciated as I am pulling my hair out with this at the moment.

Hi Peru, thank you for that. I have removed the second monitor but I am still experiencing the smae problem. It worked for a while but then reverts back to same issue. I appreciate your advise though. Hopefully Adobe can get this fixed asap as it is causing big issues with my workflow and productivity.

Hello @C Ware,

Hello. Have you tried updating Windows? Please let us know if that works for you.

Thanks,
Kevin

That is a bug that is being addressed.

The workaround is to change the resolution of the secondary monitor, use only one monitor, or use a previous version of Premiere Pro.

You can also try the beta version and see if it has been fixed.
