Unable to save preferences.

Hello! I searched the forums and technical help sections but I've been unable to find a solution.

I'm on a Mac, running PPCC 2016 Version 12.1.1 (build 10). When I go to preferences, change any setting, and hit okay, nothing happens. I tried changing multiple different settings. Same problem. When I go back the to preferences, they have not changed. The only way to even close the preferences window is to hit Cancel.

Any ideas?

    I recently faced the similar issues and deleting the preferences folder worked.

    To delete preferences manually follow the steps -

    • Close Premiere pro
    • In Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Premiere Pro
    • You should see a folder "12.0" (delete this folder)
    • Now open Premiere pro again, it will create the preferences files again.

    This should fix the issue.

    I am able to close the window by clicking on the okay and it saving the setting.

    Huh... well I guess my problem is only partially solved... thought that's not a hard work around.

    Oh, that worked. The window doesn't close when you hit 'okay' but the settings saving. Did that ever close the window? Am I crazy? Haha.... either way, thank you.
