Unlicensed audio and use in podcast

Hello,

I was playing around with the stock audio files and went to download a sample. It warned me of "low quality and unlicensed track." I guess I assumed incorrectly that using Premiere Pro's stock audio would allow for general use of the audio tracks. Am I able to use part of a track in the background of a podcast introduction (I would not call it a theme song per se, but legally someone may)? I read the document on copyright use, but figured it would be good to ask here as well. I do not have the plan where purchasing a license is an option and do not plan to upgrade.

Thank you!

If you're talking about using audio clips from the Essential Sound panel (from Adobe Stock), these have to be purchased to be used, although you can download them into your Timeline and use them for mockup/review purposes and once the client approves the clip, you can purchase it.

You're welcome! 😉

The good news is, you can use them in your Timeline and say, show the sequence to your client to get their approval. Once you get approval, you can then buy it.

If you didn't license it, you can't use it legally.
