Unresponsive Timeline and many controls

All of a sudden, PP has become very unresponsive;
• The preview is playing, but the timeline playhead isn't moving,
•  When I switch to another sequence on my timeline, the chosen sequence shows and plays in the preview, but the underline which indicates selection doesn't follow *UNTIL* I click something on the File/Edit ribbon.

• VST plugin control dials are stuck
• I minimised Premiere to type this, and when I brought the window back up, half the panels were greyed out *UNTIL* I clicked something on the top drop-menu ribbon again. Does that every time I minimise/restore now.

I'm on the latest update, running Win11

Mert33397362j2ae, when you add to a pre-existing thread, it's crucial that you tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card and if you have any 3rd party plugins installed for Premiere... Also, sequence settings and clip properties can also help. Although you can throw almost any format into premiere, some formats can be problematic, particularly on an underpowered system.

I have similar problem. My pp is freezing and lose some control panels. There is a bug.

Intersetingly, I started a new project and copied the sequence (which copied the media bins and all it's elements with it) to the new project. Now it is operating fine.
So if it wasn't the media or its composition that was the 'bug', it must have been one of my operations which put a spanner in the works.
