Unsupported Video Driver

Hi -

I just downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro and got the following message:

System Compatibility Report

Video Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

"If you continue with known issues, you may experience performance degradation, instability and data loss."

My Specs:

Edition: Windows 10 Home (vers. 1909)

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM), 5-4460 CPU @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz

Installed RAM: 8.00 GB

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Should I continue with the launch of Adobe Premiere Pro or update my current software?

Any help is much appreciated!

I am sorry to tell you this, but Intel itself had ended all mainstream support for all of its CPUs earlier than 6th-Generation way back in 2015, on the day Microsoft released Windows 10. That means that since then, the only driver releases for these older CPUs had been just security patches to the driver that was released on Windows 10's launch day.

Thus, the hardware that you have is now too old for newer versions of Premiere Pro, especially the 2020 and later versions. And since you do not have a discrete add-in graphics card at all (from what I can tell), and that you have barely enough RAM in your system for Premiere Pro to even run at all, the only fix is to downgrade your version of Premiere Pro to the 2019 (13.1.5) version until you either add a newer-generation graphics card and more RAM or buy yourself an entire new PC. Running any newer versions of Premiere Pro on such older Intel hardware without a discrete GPU will result in crashes and/or corruption.
