Question

Unwanted splitscreen in Adobe Premiere

Hi everyone.

I am running video from a TriCaster Mini into Adobe Premiere 9.  Recently, the video from the TriCaster has changed to display a splitscreen version of the original captured image, a top and bottom projection of the same video with no line separating them.  I tried running the output of the TriCaster into another device and into OBS to see if it was the issue and it worked as expected.  I assume it has to do with Premiere because I only experience this issue recording live within the software.  It does not affect playback or editing, only live capture.

Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

First, what is Premiere 9?  do you mean cc 2019?  How are you capturing from the tricaster?  From what I can tell looking at the specs on the b and h site, it only outputs hdmi, so you need to be using some sort of interface to capture.  Could be a problem with this interface...

The application is Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.  We have 3 GoPro cameras controlled by a ProductionVIEW Super Joystick by Vaddio and a TriCaster Mini switching board.  The footage runs into the Tricaster into a separate computer running Adobe Premiere via HDMI.  The setup has worked for several years with only minor troubleshooting.  The splitscreen happened randomly when I booted up the software a week ago.  This glitch only happens when Premiere is attempting to capture the footage from the Tricaster.  The same Tricaster output functions correctly when it transmits into other devices via hdmi.  The same computer running Premiere functions as expected when we capture video using OBS 22.0.3.
