Update Loses Settings

Another update and it seems there's more bugs than the previous update.

I'm juggling a few projects and I've just opened one to do some ammends. It's 4 minute sequence with 7 cameras arranged on 7 tracks, all with added LUT's and grade adjustments. It was last opened before the latest update and today all but 1 video track have lost their grade settings.

Things like contrast, black levels, shadow etc seem to have kept their settings but somehow Premiere has forgotten which LUT was used and where it is, and of course I don't remember.

This version of Premiere is a lot slower and laggier. Been using Premiere for years and I can't be bothered with it any more.

Any one else have the above issue?

Hey, Fantomas100,

I can understand the confusion you must be experiencing. What happened?

In version 23, you put LUTs in the app package, as many online tutorials (wrongly) tell you to do—so you hit the common problem. You updated to 23.1, which doesn't contain those LUTs. You see, there is a new way to add LUTs, migrate them from version to version, and even use them in other apps, like Media Encoder. See Install Custom LUT files on this page in the user guide. This action will solve all your LUT problems in the future.

Another tip is to avoid installing items into the app package directly to avoid such issues. Use app and extension installers only.

I hope that works for you.

Thanks,
Kevin
