Hi everyone,

For some reason Premier Pro won't update to the latest version? The most up to date version I can get on my Mac is 12.1.2 - Would it be because my Mac isn't the latest all singing all dancing iMac?!!

My current mac laptop is MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3  - Im runner El Capitan Version 10.11.6

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Doug

You need to update your OSX to 10.12 (Sierra) or higher before you can update your Premiere Pro to 13.x. 13.x will only run on OSX 10.12 or higher.

The current version of OSX is 10.14 (Mojave).

You need to obtain 10.14 manually from Apple's app store. The built-in updater will only update within the same major OSX version - an earlier version of 10.11 will only update to the most recent available build of 10.11 no matter what..

Also, keep in mind that if your MacBook Pro has a discrete NVIDIA GPU in addition to the integrated Intel iGPU, then there is currently no CUDA driver that is compatible with 10.14. Thus, you will only have OpenCL or Metal GPU acceleration available.
