Upon Export: Video wil scrub, but not play.

Hello,

I'm dealing with what might be a common situation. I've exported my sequence. Once exported as an .mp4, the audio will play, but the video is a frozen image of the first frame. However, I can scrub through the video and still see all the images/cuts. A simple google search suggests a codec/settings conflict but it seems like they really wanna sell me an after-market solution.  The sequence combines a wide array of sources from digitized SD home movies to screen captured youtube video clips. Thanks for any help, Tim

Hi Rach,

I just double checked to see what I was using to try to view the output. Instead of Quicktime, I was using Elmedia Video Player. THEN - when I quit Elmedia and clicked on the mp4 on my desktop - it played fine, still in Elmedia. So it was literally a restart situation. Wow. Using Premiere 2025, BTW.

Thanks for the response. Case closed, I guess.

Hi @Tim_Brady

Sorry to hear your exports are weird.  What program are you using to view them in?  What version of Premiere are you in?

I hope we can help you soon. Sorry for the frustration!
