Useless filler word detection in Dutch

I've got a video riddled with uhs and uhms that I want to remove. But premiere doesnt detect them.

It's XXXX useless. I can't find any place where I can 'teach' the thing what a dutch filler word is. If I could just search in the transcript for specific words and ripple delete them... but that doesn't seem possibe either.

All in all, thanks for another useless feature that discriminates people in small language regions.

You are Dutch and swearing in English......Don't do that, this is a respectable forum: Mod

@hilbrandbos,

There are posts that complain about inaccuracy in English and other language versions.

There are feature requests to allow adding custom words to a transcription dictionary, but none had many upvotes when I last checked. I agree that it would be good to have some way to improve particular transcriptions for custom words used.

That is possible. Set the filter to "Text," then put the words in the search blank. If it finds the word/phrase, it will give you the option for delete or replace and delete, and once you pick one, other options, including delete all and replace all. Options to delete (filler words, pauses included) are only available for the sequence view. Since video is deleted along with the transcript words, you cannot modify the source file. Replace can be done in source or sequence view. These operations may require multiple searches (um,  uhm).

@Stan Jones Your text search method worked. I read the transcript to see how it spelled various filler words and entered them one by one in the search field under 'text', ripple deleting each new word. Only thing is that the cut is not very precise. There's often a few milliseconds left of the words that are cut out.

@hilbrandbos,

Glad it worked. I'd also like to see more options for precision.
