Using Adobe CC On Two Different Computers Causes Issues

I use Adobe Premiere Pro on my desktop and laptop. The issue I am having is that when I switch between machines the software remebers the preferences from the other computer. Its almost like premiere thinks its only running on one manchine. The problem is that I use my desktop for different projects than my laptop.

One example of the the problem is my desktop and laptop have different audio interfaces. Everytime I open premire on my laptop it says my previous audio setup (from my desktop) is not avaible and asks if I would like to update or change it.

Another issue this problem creates is that my previous projects list will disappear when swtiching between machines. Even the drop down option to open "recent projects" from either machine is wipped.

Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

hmmm. I'm interested in this subject but have preconceived opinion(s) already. Will be fun to hear what everyone says about solutions.

Basically laptop and desktop are both standalone platforms and projects are not shared but sometimes data is transferred. laptop used to dump ssd's from cameras to other ssd's (freeing up camera space), and graphics, text, sound, etc... which I do on laptop cause it has isp but desktop has no internet cable.

I get vo from other people and sometimes video graphics etc.... using internet and then xfer it to the desktop for serious editing. Otherwise for stupid stuff I just use the laptop for the whole thing.

In other words, except for some experimental xml, edl, and "export project" adventures, I don't use both computers to edit the same stuff back and forth.

Let's say, in simple case of audio preference, I use laptop and set it to headphones but then I go to desktop and it's on speaker, how can I tell discreet machine OS system what it should be set at even if I have super great network storage (LAN) system for both machines ?

I don't get it.

will be interesting to see what people do to make it easier.

Preferences > Sync Settings > Disable "Preferences/Settings"

Thank you for the tip. I changed that setting as you recommended, and Premiere Pro is not asking about audio profiles anymore, but Premiere Pro is still not caching my previous projects and showing them in recent projects or the startup screen when I open the program on either computer. It still seems to act like it's one computer.

Strange, so recent projects doesn't work on either machine? Are the project locations still accessible?
