V 24.0 performace has shot down massively

I just installed this update recently with the advertisement this is 5X faster in the timeline, yet performace has shot down massively. The timeline freezes constantly, it drops way more frames than before even once rendered, what happened??

    There have been some issues on Macs I've heard of, that need several potential settings massaged in the Mac OS. So ... are you on Mac?

     

    If so, maybe @Kevin-Monahan could give some asisstance. For most users, it is a pretty slick upgrade. For a smaller set, like you, it's got issues. Maybe Kevin can help sort 'em out.

    Same! It is unbelieveably frustrating. Watsted an afternoon messing with V 24 trying to get a simple promotional video to render. Still no luck. I think my best bet is to go back to 23. What a colosal waste of my time.
