Version 24 was more comfortable.

With version 25, some things have become faster, but the following has become very inconvenient:

 

・The file sorting order has changed and is now difficult to read. Previously, they were sorted by type, but now they are sorted by all types, which is very difficult to read. Project files are also named v1, v2, etc. by version, but folders are inserted in between, which is inconvenient.

 

・The behavior of the Japanese subtitle editing is slow and there is a lot of time lag. It was very smooth in version 24, but in version 25 it often does not respond when clicked.

 

・When you set in/out and export, it becomes the default or the entire project, and you have to select in/out again.

 

Premiere is evolving every day, and I think it's wonderful, but the changes in operability with each new version are interfering with my work, so I hope they'll improve it.

    Regarding the file sorting issue:

    It's a bit unclear whether you're referring to behavior inside Premiere Pro (such as how items appear in the Project panel) or outside the application (like in your file system). In Premiere, "Projects" and "Folders" might be getting confused with "Sequences" and "Bins." If you're referring to how clips or assets are displayed in the Project panel, remember that you can customize the sorting order using metadata columns - just click the column headers to sort by type, name, or any other field.

    For the export range resetting to the entire project:

    When exporting media, Premiere defaults to using the In/Out range. For sequences, it defaults to Entire Source. However, once you change this setting to In/Out for a specific sequence, Premiere will remember that choice the next time you export the same sequence.

    If you prefer to always export using In/Out points, one workaround is to create a blank sequence, go to the Export tab, and set the range to In/Out. Then, duplicate this blank sequence whenever you start a new edit. This way, the export range setting will carry over consistently.

    This is about the layout of Premiere's bins.
    In the previous version (v24), I added a "#" to place the bin containing the project at the top.

    Also, within that bin, items were sorted numerically from top to bottom, making it very easy to read.

    For example, if you had 00_main_v1, 00_sub_v1, material bins, BGM bins, etc., each item would be sorted together.

     

    In the current v25, bin folders are inserted between projects and there is no longer a "#" sign.

    This is very inconvenient when working.

    Could you please improve this?

    Also, selecting Japanese subtitles often does not work smoothly.

    Even when opening the same project as in v24, v25 is clearly slower.

    Thanks for the clarification. Just to note, I'm not an Adobe employee - I'm a fellow user and Community Expert here in the forums.

     

    It sounds like the change in bin sorting may be due to how the Project panel is currently sorted. If you're in List View, check whether you're sorting by the Label Color column rather than the Name column. This could explain the unexpected order, especially since the default label colors changed in recent versions.

     

    Here are a couple of suggestions:

    • Sort by the Name column to return to alphanumeric sorting. This should correctly group items like 00_main_v1 and 00_sub_v1.
    • If you're intentionally sorting by label color and want to replicate the previous behavior, go to Settings > Labels and change the Label Color Preset to Classic. This restores the color assignments from earlier versions.

     

    If you're using Icon View, click the Sort Icons button at the bottom of the Project panel to sort by Name, Label, Media Type, or other fields.
