Question

Version 26 and above loads my processor to 100%.

I'm currently working at Premiere 25.1 , everything is fine. The problem is on two various computers, so we can rule out hardware and driver issues. Why are you making the program worse in the new updates? I can't even move the mouse cursor, so why do I need this update?

I'm betting for sure they don't do it so as to hear from certain users.

You haven't convinced me of that. Can we have any specs. And @R Neil Haugen 's question is needed first. The shipping PP is still in 25.x, so 26.x  is only in beta. Maybe more specifics in your post would be good. It sounds like you are on Windows, but there wasn't even enough to insure that.

Both computers have an Intel processor, a GeForce graphics card, and a Samsung SSD.

Your response doesn't give any useful information to assist you whatsoever. And I simply don't understand someone who doesn't want help to get working better.

Different CPUs can have dramatically different capabilities and behaviours. Depending on the effects and media, that alone can be a huge differentiator. Such as long-GOP H.264/5 on a computer with an Intel "F" chip, which does not have the iGPU necessary for 'hardware' decoding/encoding, along with a GPU that doesn't have such capabilites ... which includes most AMD cards up to the last year or so, and many of the pre-50 series Nvidia cards.

Compare that with a CPU with an iGPU, plenty of cores, and a 50 series GPU, the difference can be staggering depending again on the media and effects used.

We are asking questions because the answers matter if you want to get the rigs working better..

"26" is the public beta version ... is that what you are referring to?

I'm talking about how older versions of the program are killing my computer. Why is one version fine, but another is terrible? Why make updates that cause problems with computers? Updates should improve performance, but Adobe makes it impossible to work.
