Very hard to resize video

Question

Is their any way to make it easier to expand a video in a timeline? I spend so much time trying to get the <-> symbol to show up when hovering over the center dot on a video to expand it. It always defaults to rotate and i have to spend so much time trying to get the cursor in the SPECIFIC right spot to expand and its driving me nut

Hi Josh,

I understand how frustrating it can be to get that <-> symbol to show up! Here are a couple of tips that might help:

Expand the Program Monitor: This can give you more space to work with and make it easier to place your cursor. You can maximize the Program Monitor by pressing the ` key (tilde, the key usually above the Tab key). To return it to its original size, just press the ` key again.

Adjust the Scale in the Effect Controls Panel: You can also change the scale of your video without needing to be so precise with the cursor. In the Effect Controls panel, click and drag over the Scale property to adjust it. You can also click the scale value and use the Up and Down keys to adjust in 1% increments. Holding the Shift key while pressing the Up and Down keys will adjust the scale in 10% increments.
