Question

Very High Render Time

I am currently working on three projects that involve mosaics of a children's choir singing three songs. Each song has from 25 to 30 kids on screen. I even do some crossfades to sequences highlighting some of them during a few seconds or during a small part.

The thing is, one of the songs is four and a half minutes long and it takes only 20 minutes to render.

The other two take about 12 hours, and each lasts two and a half and the last one three and a half minutes.

Why is this happening? It happens on both Premiere and Media Encoder.

Maybe send screenshots of your:

Export Settings

Sequence Settings

Timeline or entire PP Screen

So we can get a look at what you are doing.

It began exporting at 1:00 AM today. It's 10:00 AM right now.

Did you figure this out? If so how? I'm experiencing the same issue.

Hi Heartmony,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Let us know the version of Premiere Pro that you are using & the system specs.

Also, have you applied any effects along with the crossfades to those clips in the timeline? Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Sumeet

My specs are:

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080i

12 GB RAM

Intel Core i7

No, I have not applied any other effect other than crops to make the mosaics. I also noticed that my hard drive gets 10 GB eaten away whenever I render something for some reason.

I'm using Premiere and ME version 15.2.
