Video and Audio is not in Sync in Premiere, when it is in Sync in a Media Player

Hey fellas,

I have a weird problem.

I'm editing a video for my client. He recorded an interview via skype, or similar program.

When I play the MP4 file outside of Premiere, as in VLC and Windows Media Player, it plays normally, sound and video syncs correctly.

When I import it to Premiere, the video is slower than the sound.

I tried to play with speed duration, but it's impossible to sync it by hand, as the video playing speed changes repeatedly, when the sound remains the same.

I tried to change the sequence settings but still - nothing works.

Has someone experienced something like this?

How can I fix it?

Thanks!

Ori

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Free programs to get file information for PC/Mac http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

- when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view

.

Does your video use a VARIABLE Frame Rate? See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1110005

If yes, use https://handbrake.fr/ open source transcoder/converter to convert to Constant Frame Rate
