video clip won't insert into sequence track

When I drag or insert a video clip into the sequence track, the audio gets inserted, but the video track is blank.  I can hear the audio, the audio waveform is there, but nothing on the video track.  How I do fix this?

HP, intel i7, windows 10, Premiere Pro.
