Video hang problems in Premiere Pro

Hello everyone, I've been having problems editing videos for the past 3 weeks. The videos hang at the smallest effects or overlays, which was never the case before. Even though I have the preview at 1/8, it hangs extremely, which doesn't allow video editing at all. I have a Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 16GB Ram and 256Gb SSD and Intel Core Evo i7-1165G7. What could be the problem? Can someone help me? Thank you in advance.
