If the suggestion by Ann Bens doesn't work, this expands upon the suggestion by Byron Cortez :

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:
https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

Here is a tutorial:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Did you record with your smartphone? If so, you may have to try Interpret Footage by setting it to a constant framerate (like 30fps, 25fps, 24fps, etc). This is because smartphones generally record in VFR (variable frame rate) just like screen recordings.

Hi there!

Thanks for writing in. Which device is used to capture footage? Are they screen recorded files? If so, try transcoding the media file and see if that helps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/faq-issues-with-screen-recorded-footage-in-premiere-pro/m-p/10874355

Let us know.
