Question

Video stops midway when exported as H264 Premiere Pro and Media Encoder

Hi all!

I am experiencing a problem when exporting through Premiere Pro and Media Encoder as H264. For some reason once export is done it will play only a few seconds of the clip then freeze for the rest of the video duration. I tried uploading to vimeo to see if video was actually there, but when upload finished, the video was only the duration that would play in finder.

For some reason exporting as ProRes works normally but I need h264 for smaller sizes.

Hello,

I have the exact same issue.

Have you found a solution?

Hey there!

I unfortunately have not yet found a solution. I have aftercodecs installed in my computer so I have been getting my H264 videos rendered through that and it works. I only have it for AE and Media Encoder though so it's a bit of a hassle to have to send it to ME when I could have quickly rendered in Premiere. Have you updated to 15.1? I am wondering if that would fix something...

I have updated and that did not fix the problem.

However, what i found now is that when i export as H264 directly on our
NAS, that’s when the export gets stuck randomly but if i save it on the
computer or any other drive it exports fine.
