Videos slow down at 720p

I try to import very small files (less than 50MB with about a minute of footage at 720p) and yet the video still lags. I have gone through several videos trying to fix this but to no avail. I really have no idea what the problem is because after checking the amount of skipped frames while playing the video on photoshop there were none. When I also decided to export the video with many stutters it kept those stutters at export. I do only have 8GB of RAM but I figured that would not have been an issue with such low-resolution videos. I'm slowly starting to feel buyer's remorse and I have only just bought the application less than an hour ago. Somebody, please help.

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Although the system requirements state 8 gig as a minimum but in real life it is most of the time too little.

Yeah, but I imagine that's mostly for super high-end 4k videos. When working with pretty basic stuff it really isn't that bad.

4K needs 32 GB RAM to run well.

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Yeah, this helped me out. I was a little confused when all of one specific type of clip wasn't working so I dragged in a different random video I had on my PC and it worked fine. I switched all the videos to a different format and it worked well. Thank you for the help!
