View H265 files in Premier Pro 2022 ? Win 10 PC

Question

1. I can load/view H264 files from a security camera. I Cannot do this with an H265 file.

I can see in file explorer that there are clips, if I try importing to Prem Pro, I see the message "No files to show", any suggestions as to how to see them?

2. If I select a folder through the import option, double click it, it then lists all the files each one with a check box pre ticked to select it. I do NOT want this default action, one folder has 500+ files. How do I stop ALL being pre checked as I may only want 2 or 3.

Thanks, I have a workaround, can't say I'm impressed. I suppose you just get used to things working as they do, until...

Hey, there are several things about this that ... after you know how they work ... where it can work pretty decently.

But it sure ain't obvious how to do so ... not to begin with.

Thanks, RE: 2 customarily when you double click on a folder, you're shown a list of files in that folder, they are generally NOT ALL pre clicked, that is my issue.

Can you explain what the step that are required to stop this annoyance?

(curses I now can't replicate it, but still would like to know the navigation steps required)

(update, yes, I can still open folders with ALL checked)

RIIIIGHT, I see, this is really annoying. Navigate to folder Pictures> in the Import menu, See a list Jan 24, Feb 24, etc. Single click the Jan 24 folder, a check box appears checked, in the bottom of the window in icon of a folder appears, showing image count in it and an Import button right side, click that it will import all content, not what I need.

How to view the folder content? Right click on the bottom folder Icon, popup appears options are :

Clear ?

Clear all (ok)

Select all (ok)

View enclosing folder? That IS the folder.

You say don't 2 x click the folder, but I can see no way to open and view it unless I do, when I do, as per normal (for me) all items are selected prechecked, however, now I can right click the bottom folder and "Clear all"

I may be a little picky but why is Adobe going counter to the double click on a folder to list the content WITHOUT selecting all of them? More clicks than are neccessary?

If you can help find a way (convoluted apparentlly) around this I'd appreciate it.
