Question

Warp stabilizer Effect problem (sudden zoom out)

Hi everybody.

I'm new to Premiere. Finally finally I'm leaving my beloved FCP 7

I'm using the Warp Stabilizer Effect for the first time. At a first glance it seems to work fine. I use "No Motion", "Position, Scale And Rotation". But then I discovered that towards the end of the stabilized clip (not the very end), the clip performs now a sudden zoom out, which didn't exist before. My guess is, after being zoomed in/autoscaled in order to perform the stabilization it then suddenly zooms out to 100% size of the image. Until that moment the clip is perfectly stabilized. Any idea what that could be?

Also, i would actually prefer the "smooth motion" option (I don't want no motion, just less), but whatever setting i choose for "Smoothness" it doesn't change the outcome, the value of autoscale also remains the same consequently.

Does anybody know, what I could do wrong that causes these two problems?

Any help is very much appreciated.

I don't know if there's a maximum length that the Warp Stabilizer effect can be applied to but how long is the clip that you're stabilizing? What happens if you use the Razor tool to make a cut in it and then apply the effect to one of the segments? Same problem? If you wouldn't mind, it would be great to share the clip with the forum folks so they can try to figure out what's going on.

Hi Stefan.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried that out. I made the clip a bit longer, then the mentioned zoom out just happens later. The clip is not very long anyway, like 45 seconds. And it's a clip that only consists of one source not several different clips.

I try to upload the clip later.
