Warp stabilizer on nested clips

I'm in PP2023.2.0

I was used to nesting clips that were slowed down, to then apply warp stabilizer to the nested clip. This functionality seems to be gone, as the warp stabilizer has no effect anymore. It does calculate something, but the footage remains unstable. I haven't found a way to make it work.

Ok it has to do with the proxies. I thought premiere automatically would simply show the full res version instead of the proxy when using warp stabilizer. But apparently, you need to switch off the proxy view BEFORE creating the nest. Then add the warp stabilizer and let it calculate. After that, the stabilization is only shown when the proxy view is disabled. I hoped it would just show the full res for the stabilized footage, and the proxies for the non stabilized footage.
