Wave warp/Pinning not working

I followed this tutorial to create a VHS look for my video. On the first clip I tried, it worked exactly as in the tutorial. But my second clip has those black lines on the edges that the "Pinning: All Edges" thing is supposed to stop. The settings for both clips are exactly the same, other than the directon since the second clip is upside-down, but even if I try it in the same direction it does not work.
I tried just copying the wave warp from the first clip to the second, but then wave warp stopped working entirely. 

I tried holding shift + alt when premiere was starting and it still does not work.

What am I doing wrong?
