Webcam recording in PR

I talked to Adobe support on Friday and they said you could use your laptop (in my case) webcam to directly become a "capture."  Not being able to get that to work, I called back on Saturday and was told that PR will not capture a webcam directly.

This seems to be what others are saying, but I would like to hear others' opinions on if this is possible and if so how to do it.

I upgraded the RAM from the minimun 8 to 16 GB.

I've got tons of free diskspace with 787 GB free.
