Question

Weird Audio Bug Causing Clips to Glitch

Hi all,

I'm experiencing a weird audio bug in which clips are glitching. What seems to be happening is that the last frame or two of an audio clip gets cut off, and then these frames play at the same time as the start of the next clip. Example:

https://youtu.be/N6I26QkBid4

I had this occur to one audio clip on a previous project, last week, and assumed it must have been a bug specific to that project. But it's happening throughout my current project.

The clips are from multicam source sequences. Flattening them doesn't help, nor does editing from the non-multicam source files (not that I'd wish to have to replace every clip, anyway). The issue is present on both my workstation and laptop.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm unable to deliver my project until I find a solution.

Thanks.

Windows 10 / Prem 22.4.0

Tried making a new project and importing the old one?

Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, tried importing the project into a new one. Good tip about Default Input.

In the end, an Adobe support representative carried out some remedial steps remotely. What we discovered was, with this particular sequence, the bug stopped happening when I un-soloed the track containing the offending clips (I had it soloed in order to carry out a first-pass dialogue mix). While this has solved the immediate problem, the bug remains, and the Adobe rep was unable to suggest what we could do about it.

When I had experienced the bug previously, no tracks were soloed, and so I suspect this bug will raise its ugly head again in future.
