What happened to Video Transition- Fade to Black?

HI,

After successfully using video transitions all year, now my transitions have little Lego blocks (add ins) next to them. Does this mean I can't do a basic fade to black without paying a ransom? What happened?

Just to clarify, I select the effect and drag it to the end of the video, but nothing happens. Last week, it worked just fine. I did the updates to no avail.

Thanks

On a side not: Dip to black is a double sided transition not suited to be used as a single side transition.

If you want to fade out, just use the Cross Dissolve.

Also turn off Composite in Linear color in the sequence settings.

Do you mean Dip to Black? There is no effect/transition labeled Fade to Black in Premiere Pro. It is possible you might have been using a 3rd party plugin that you no longer have access to.

Can you post a screenshot of this?

None of my dissolve actions work anymore. Very frustrating.

It's working now. I have no idea what happened.
