Question

What Is The Best New Sequence Setting For Working With An Audio File Only

Help please! 🙂 I'm going to be working with an mp3 file that is audio only as I'm editing a podcast clip in Premiere. There is no video file associated with it. Only audio. When I go to start a new sequence to work with the mp3 file, I'm wondering what the best setting in the sequence presets is to get started in editing the track? Is there a custom sequence I should use to start to edit an audio only file without video? Does it matter if the end result is going to be a podcast mp3 I'm exporting with audio only? Which sequence do I start with for audio editing only? Thank you for your help!

I agree with  R Neil Haugen .

But if you really want to do it in Premiere Pro, drag the audio clip from the Project Panel to the new item icon and let Premiere Pro decide for you.

Keep in mind that Premiere Pro can sometimes behave wonky with mp3 files and likes wav files much more.

I'd do that in Audition, as it's a total audio job.
