Question

What’s the purpose of the price increase?

Lately I’ve been on the fence about renewing my CC subscription. The SDK for REDs IPP2 has been out for at least 6 months now... still no native support. Performance in/exporting from Premiere Pro is so poor (when it doesn’t crash which is multiple times per day) when compared to Resolve and FCP. And Lumetri still doesn’t implement tetrahedral LUT interpolation.

Come on Adobe! Everyone I know has already moved to other editing software or seriously considering switching away from your products!

Well, it looks like the increase does not apply to all Creative Cloud plans, and would not go into effect until the next renewal date (which could be months away).

But in any event, it's possible to avoid the CC price increase entirely, if you want.
