What year premiere pro still uses capture

What year premiere pro supports capture? I downloaded the 2023 version it has the capture option but doesn't support my hardware. Using I movie I can capture my tapes so I know my hardware is good but it downgrades the quality.

    I have several options for Windows and only 1 for Mac... IF the link is still good

    Have you used lifeflix? Does it downgrade the quality of the footage? I'll look into that

    Capture feature in Premiere requires firewire.

    I have a fire wire and it works good capturing with IMovie
