Question

When a bunch of clips on the timeline, ripple edit moves the audio and video tied together different

Windows 11 pro

24.0.3 build 2

I've noticed this on this and the last version.  If you have a bunch of clips, edited or not, at some point when you do a Ripple edit to try and shift clips, it shifts the video to different times than the audio.  Last project I got to the end of editing and had to separate them and shift the audio manually, but this caused a major catostrophy in PP(endless crashing, you can check the logs I sent when in endless crashes) and eventually borked my RAM.   I replaced the ram and as I am finishing this project, the same ripple edit issue is happening.  I can lasso drag everything at once and have no issue.  I dare not tryripple edit any more for fear of another instance because that seems what it is pointing to.  I am 100% you could easily replicate this as it's been present on my only 2 projects on PP.

I'll try to get back on there tomorrow and take another screenshot.  I finished the video by manually moving everything.

Show entire UI especially the header with the track expanded.

This only happens when I am deep in a video where a lot of clips are edited, sped up, and seems to happen more after recording some voice overs.  Audio track is not locked. The tracks aren't unlinked, at some point it just moves them differently when using the automatic ripple delete. I can manually drag them and all is right in the universe.  I feel like it's a bug, possibly memory based or start time based for the tracks.  The audio does move sometimes, but at a different rate.  Even thought I write software for a living, I'm not sure how PP handles that data.  Possibly something being reused and it doesn't take into acccount the speed change on the audio track?

Not happening on my machine, unless I unlink the V and A ... so, huh ... any chance the audio track is locked?
