When converting from MOV to MP4 with Sound, Resolution Poor
I'm doing a school project. In fact, I was doing a school project. The project was to create a presentation for a redesign of an existing webpage. For the redesign, I used Adobe Xd. Because it needed narration and I couldn't do it, I typed out a script, installed Loopback Audio on my system to record OS sound, and used Quicktime and macOS High Sierra screen reader to record the narrated script. So I could then do the visual portion, I played the recorded narration and recorded to my iPhone using voice memo. I began a screen recording session while playing the audio on my iPhone so the presentation would be synchronized with the sound.
The audio and video came out perfectly--see the unedited video is located on YouTube at this link: poppinjoes video - YouTube. While it's not the resolution I wanted, the video is clear. I had to add the audio, however. So I created a project in Premiere Pro, added the .MOV video--the same one as above--and imported the sound layer. I then exported it to MP4.
While the video quality of the video linked to above is clear, when I go to export the video, I choose: File > Export > Media. It allows me to choose the format. The native video is Quicktime, but I don't believe Quicktime is supported by YouTube or that they advise against it. So, I selected MP4. When I select MP4, it offers me two presets:
1. 3GPP 176 X 144 h.263
2. 3GPP 352 x 288 H.263
I choose the second, and what I end up with is this:
The sound quality is fine but the resolution is ridiculously small and the image and text is unintelligible.
Why is that? Should I have not chosen MP4 conversion? If not, what format should I have chosen? And why?
Thanks in advance.
