When does Adobe plan to improve its Speech-to-Text feature?
I am a very, very long-time user of Adobe, and I use speech-to-text almost every week. But that feature sucks.
Adobe has improved on many areas, but speech-to-text is awful. I will give an example that might sound interesting: Adobe is very bad at transcribing English when it is not perfectly clear. I have a client who has a black-dude accent. Cool dude. Yet Adobe cannot understand what he is saying. But Google Gemini does. So if Gemini is able to transcribe English with an accent, but Adobe can’t, this must be improved, right?
It sometimes even struggles with very simple English. One of my clients clearly says "Jonah," but Adobe always transcribes it as "John." I have to spend a lot of my time fixing everything manually. That’s too much time.
I think Adobe needs to take this as an inquiry and fix it in the next patch. Work with an AI tool -I don’t know- but please fix this.
