When GoPro footage is sped up 10% it gets really skippy

Check out this video: GOPR0874 Cut - YouTube

It was shot on a GoPro at 2.7k @ 30fpv. When played at normal speed it's silky smooth. When I apply any speed-up modification to the video it clearly "jumps" every 1s or so. I assume this has everything to do with frame rate and frames being dropped. Is there some math or equation to apply to determine what speed up/down can be used with no skipping?

Hi CorySnyder,Removing frames is the nature of the beast. Most people smooth out fast motion "choppiness" with Motion Blur, with products like this: http://revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/You can also try After Effects motion blur if you have it.Thanks,Kevin
