Whenever I press pause, it won't let me press play again

Whenever I pause in Premiere Pro 25.3.1, it won't let me press play again. The only solve I've found is restarting Premiere Pro, which gets annoying. I hope you can find a fix!

Have you tried it on different computers?

Has it just started happening or has it always been like this?

If restarting Premiere Pro works, have you tried:

re-booting your computer?
